THANK YOU, JESUS, for demonstrating the fullness of Your Grace & Truth through the book, Turning Controversy Into Church Ministry. Thank You for W. P. Campbell & his family. Thank You for the Christian Brothers & Sisters You've placed in his life. Most of all, thank You for You & Your Living Written Word which Pastor Campbell depends on to confront & comfort, edify & challenge Your People (individually & as a Church Family) to daily LIVE in the fullness of Your Grace & Truth -- NO MATTER THE COST!!! AMEN!!!
Please read PC's (Pastor Campbell's) book, alongside your Bible, in order to truly have your life (& your Church Family's life) radically & powerfully transformed! :-)
First things, first. All of the following opinions are just that - my opinions.
Let's start from the very beginning . . . a very good place to start! :-)
PC's book is subtitled: A Christlike Response to Homosexuality. The word "Sexuality" could have easily been substituted for the word "Homosexuality," because The Body of Christ, in general, is confused about GOD'S Original Intent & Design for sexuality in all of its facets.
Facets? A broad description of the facets of sexuality might look something like this: conception, birth, maturing as a human developmentally (trust, etc.), same-sex gender identification, same- & opposite sex relationships, life-long marriage, conception of children, back to human development. And, for The Body of Christ, ALL of those facets are to be solidly grounded in GOD'S Original Intent & Design -- wow!
Although PC's book does touch on many of the facets of sexuality (specifically, homosexual feelings, behaviors, & identity), his primary focus is actually JESUS & His Bride -- The Church. I LOVE THAT!!! :-)
In other words, IF you claim JESUS as your Lord, IF you call yourself a Christ-Follower, Christian, Born-Again-Believer, or something similar, then PC's book is for YOU! (Yes, that really does mean you!) :-)

One of my FAVORITE testimonies in PC's book is how GOD'S Mercy-Truth-Grace-Forgiveness-Patience-and-BOLD LOVE was demonstrated to Mike Goeke from his wife, family of origin, & church family (pp. 102 - 104). TRULY a radically life-changing story of people loving Mike & one another as JESUS wants us to love! Even when Mike repeatedly rejected their expressions of True Love (he considered it "offensive"), the people whom PAPA had surrounded Mike with did not give up!
Side-note: I first met Mike & his lovely bride, Stephanie, in 2006 at the Exodus FREEDOM Conference in Indiana. Every time I hear them speak or read their testimonies, I usually end up in tears, but am always refreshed by the selfless demonstrations of PAPA'S Great Love through their family & friends. Thank you, Pastor Campbell, for including such an "offending" story! :-)
